Default I made a big mistake and put 5-w30 pentosin motor oil on my honda accord 4 cylinder 2006

instead of 5w-20 .? Honda recommends 5w-20 mineral oil however say synthetic is fine but I think it must be a 5w-20 synthetic, My Mechanic said the Pentosin was fine. I have put this oil in the last 3 changes.

Your engine will be fine. Honda recommends the 20 because it gives a little bit better gas mileage.

It is perfectly fine to have a slightly heavier oil, especially if it is a higher mileage car.

Your car will not explode, it will not die soon, nothing.

It will work normally as it should.

The mineral oil is for break in and is only used when a new engine is installed for a limited amount of miles. Synthetic and regular oil won't mix. The weight of oil is not all that critical, but you do want to use whatever the manufacturer recommends. If you are worried about it, you can just do an oil and filter change and use whatever you need to. If you need synthetic, stick with it.

Youl be fine...

Definitely don't switch back and forth a lot because eventually you may have a leak... synthetic is a lot thinner then conventional...
