Default 2005 honda odyssey problem?

Trouble code -- p0741 - torque converter clutch stuck off. what's the problem?

the van runs normally, but it cannot pass the smog test because of this.

Take this to a transmission shop for diagnosis. It may be possible to clear fault codes and see if you can pass all the computer monitors before the code comes back. Just be mindful if you clear you will have to drive and pass all monitors first before passing emissions if you clear the computer.
