Default 91 Honda Oil oops!

I just checked my oil yesterday and saw that it was on the low line. The motor was cold and hadn't been run in almost 12 hours, so I looked around the house for some oil, and found a big 4 or 5 quart bin with a little over 2 quarts left in it. I figured it would need two quarts since it was on the low line, and so I put all of it in the car. Now the oil line is way over the High line! I started the car and there was a LOT of smoke but it went a way after a couple minutes, and I drove it down the street and it seemed fine, no more smoke... Am I in the clear or do I need to get that oil out of there?

Thanks
Craig
