Default Just changed my fuel pump in my 90 accord and now it won't start PLEASE help????

Ok I just purchased a used fuel pump for my accord, and I had very little gas in the tank,before I replaced the fuel pump my car started rite up now that I have replaced it with everything hooked up correctly it won't start???? It does crank but won't seem to start????I have a little under a quarter tank of gas in the car now!!! But should I Put in more because maybe the fuel pump isnt submerged???? PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!!! Or is there a way to tell if that fuel pump is good???
