Default How to disable the seat belt warning tone on a 2009 Honda Civic?

I am a public service worker and when wearing all my gear and duty belt to and from work, the seat belt is very uncomfortable to wear. I do car-pull with one other co-worker who wears all the same stuff. We usually never wore our seat belts in the previous car that I had, but last week I did buy a 2009 Civic that has a seat belt warning tone. While I do not wear the seat belt when commuting to and from work, I do every other time I'm in a vehicle.

I think there is a way to disconnect the seat belt sensor somewhere underneath the seat, but not quite sure how to do it.

If anyone has anything helpful related to my question, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've read where if you pull the fuse it will disable other indicators such as the headlights on light, side curtain airbag, etc.

This doesn't bother me too much, but it seems like it would be fine as long as it doesn't affect the function of the airbags or any other safety feature.

Quick and easy? Plug in the seat belt first, then sit down.

I am not sure what disconnecting it under the seat will do. It will either kill the sensor or it will always chime as it dosnt see the connection.

Wear your seat belt, unless you enjoy the taste of your steering wheel.
