I just bought this car from dealer. And when want to change oil the drain plug was oversize. Wat should i do? Do you think its the dealer problem or the guy changed my oil? So now the drain plug my car cannot be honda civic size. Has to be bigger size. Is it will be leak soon or just plug with the big size that will be okay... Need advice please!!!! Thanks

Somebody stripped the original one out and put an oversize self tapping one in it. Buy some extra bigger washers for it and don't over tighten it. Not leaking now, don't worry about it. Common repair all cars. Dealer is NOT going to change the pan for you for free.

ya, really sucks, sounds like they used a self tapping replacement oil drain plug, its a shame to becasue all auto parts stores carry common oil drain plug sizes. idk why they would use a self tapping. ya just buy you a new one from like autozone, but if it doesnt fit, then wel your going to have to use a bigger one, or replace the oil pan, like sum1 said, i seriously doubt the dealership will replace it for u
