Sorry to dissappoint. My 2.5L 1990 audi 90 with quattro have beaten enough honda accords to know that none of them stand a chance. And my audi was 20 years old with over 300000km. Along with the awd weight and power loss. I somehow still managed to beat every 2.4L honda i've ever raced. And that Audi is the slowest car i've owned for over 3 years now. Maybe the k24 honda accord could have beaten my 1986 corolla gts aka AE86 in a straight line, but then again the AE86 was built to be light and handle corners real well and also great for drifting.

If you want to start winning some races, get a 5 speed civic and swap that k24 from the accord into it. Also replace everything inside the motor for higher compression, more hp, and just more performance and sporty biased. The K24 came from honda as a work horse engine to have enough to pull the full size cars while remaining inline 4 so consumers would be attracted to it. However in reality, pushing a inline 4 hard to get enough power will take more fuel than driving a v6 lightly to do the same job.

As of now, It's hard to name a car off the top of my head that your accord would be able to beat in a race. OH WAIT, i know. maybe a toyota camry!!!

Best route to win races and impress the ladies is a compact sports car that came turbocharged and preferably AWD especially if you plan on pushing over 300hp.

Say a stock 1.8t gti. Put 5000 into it and you'd have 300hp or more. Gut that thing out and put some sticky tires on, You'll be pissing off some rich boys with their mommy's bmws or mercs. And if you drop 10G or so to push 400-500hp, You can seriously piss off porsche and bentley owners. Also leaving all m3's and R8's in the dust.

That's when the race hits a whole new level. It's no longer a "i hope i win" and becomes a "thats right boy, better belive it"

You can put an intake, or put a chip in it, but thats not worth it, cause.youl get like only 7 more hp from intake. I have an 04 accord exl, 4 banger, auto, I beat my friends 06 civic ex auto, and a mitsu galant 2.4, their was also this 05 or 06 mustang v6 that tried to pass me and we gunned it and I took it, slowly but took it. It will probably take a camry, not a v6, it will take all older civics and accords, autos and 4 bangers. Oh and I take my dads 06 ram 4.7, but be careful when racing one the street, dont get caught, I got pulled over more than a month ago, and was able to run away from the cop, but the guy pulled my friend over and he got a misdemeanor for speed contest, so be careful. The accord will take a lot of cars, but they are all slow. I am tired of killing my car and want to get something else, like a si or sti, or something else. and now I am stuck ay 20 mpg, no matter how careful and slow I drive, ao dont redline your car too much. its a great car, but not a sports car, almost any manual car will take it though.
