any way? i have just brought a honda xr 125, its to slow and wondered what i could do to speed it up in any way? acceleration is good but want more top end, what can i do and how much will it cost? or should i just put a bigger engine in it? thanks

gearing is the key try a one tooth smaller sprocket on the engine is the cheapest and will add about 3-5 mph and cost around $20 and 30 minutes time

One tooth smaller sprocket will take away from top end.. he wants more top end. but changing gearing will add one thing and take another away. putting a bigger sprocket on the engine will add more top end and take away acceleration. visa versa when putting a smaller sprocket on the front.. You can spend LOTS of money on the engine to give it power but i would just get a bigger bike. 250 2 stroke has more power than anyone needs.. If your looking for a 4 stroke you will have to go with a 450cc or better to keep up with a 250 2 stroke. Look up youtube vids of diff bikes your interested in and search for vids 250 2 stoke vs 450 4 stroke and 125 2 stroke vs 250 2 stroke and see what the differences are
