Default My 95 honda civic ex ?

I have changed the oil change soilnoid and my vtec doesent kick in also my temp goes up and down iam thinking it the thermostats

Maybe oil pressures are fluctuating. Possibly a leak. That could cause temp changes AND your vtec wont kick in if the ECU reads not enough pressure. VTEC is controlled by rpm, throttle position, gear, and oil pressure to decide if it should engage or not. Hondas are the economy car that could because of vtec. they are designed with the state of mind that you dont NEED vtec but its there if the driver wants a faster car sacrificing the MPG that is intended. (not using the vtec lobe on the cam)
