Default 98 honda civic signal light (sound)?

After signalling to turn, the actual lights turn off, but the signal sound stays on.

Any idea what would cause this? how to fix it?

possibly the relay flasher for the turn indicators is worn out; it's usually located below the dash and is easily replaced
