None. HIDs are illegal on any car that did not come factory equipped with them. There's a good chance you will be stopped, ticketed, and forced to remove them.

Cops care less about ticketing people with HIDs. I've had mine for almost a year now and also helped others with installing their own. I've driven in front of cops, with my heart beating faster and faster as i approached them and each time i drove past without being stopped. You have nothing to worry about. They cannot prove anything. Only the inspection office can deny it and the ones on my car didnt get denied.

A honda civic si is an amazing car and with HIDs, it'll look even sweeter. I recommend 10000k. It's a bluish/whitish color. It's enough to make it seem like it was already built in like the ones u see on factory altima S's, or lexus's. get the 35w, 55w is way too bright for older cars like the 08.

I recommend DDMtuning.com. You can get the kit for about $50. The other sites and places charge a lot for adding the placement brackets so you can easily attach the ballast to the frame of the car. DDM tuning gives you some zipties (you can get these yourself too). Just ziptie the ballast to the frame. Then use electrical tape to attach it to any rubber piping. That is a safe alternative.
