FYI there are actually Honda and Toyota dealers on EBAY and on the internet selling genuine Honda and Toyota parts like 30% of MSRP.

For examplr we recently required & bought 2 new genuine Honda immobilizer keys for 2009 Honda Civic LX. I was talking to coworker who has several Hondas and he as well as Honda Dealer Service Advisor told me some Honda keys can actually break in ignition and then repair is even more expensive.

Long story short - I went on EBAY and actually messaged and then spoke to MECHANICSVILLE HONDA (just outside of Richmond VA). Their EBAY ID is magautoparts and parts guy Phil actually doublechecked and then sent me right link for correct Honda remote key that was like $40 each vs quotes like $100 each from local Honda dealers. I told Phil we often visit Williamsburg VA, Kings Dominion or Virginia Beach and he told me MECHANICSVILLE HONDA would do programming up to 4 keys for like $94 total. Bottomline my wife said to only purchase 2 genuine Honda remote keys, but I called around several local Honda dealers: and one I quoted like $52 for all programming so I stopped and asked service hours and if appointment was necessary. My teen and I drove there and sure enough, $52 for programming fee, plus $5 extra per key to cut each one and a few other miscellaneous fees. Bottomline, my coworker asked me to give him all the specifics because he said he paid like $140 for one key.

Hope the Above Info Helps!
