Default about Honda Accord '03 tail-lights...?

Hi, i bought a pre-owned Honda Accord (2003 make) recently and was going through the manual and then i realized that the place where it indicates (tail light) on the right side, both upper lights work fine.

But on the left hand side, out of two(upper ones) only one tail light works, not the one on trunk. I also got it checked with a local car repair guy who opened the trunk and said that is no option for a light/bulb there, it's only available at the right hand side. I remember seeing that myself. And it looked totally absurd.

Can anyone help clarify this.

Thanks in advance..

It's a rear fog light. It's an extra-bright tail light found on only one side of the car. They're common in Europe (Britain and Scandinavia in particular), but are found on many European and Japanese makes. When this lamp is on, it's easier to see the vehicle in heavy fog.

Many idiots in the U.S. don't understand what the rear fog light is for, and leave them on all the time. This is illegal in the U.K., and makes people in the U.S. who leave it on look stupid - especially when they have that bright, asymmetrical light blazing in broad daylight.

Hi. Yeah, I agree your fog light is the one having problems. It's either you get new ones and replace it.

- To remove it, you have to remove the damaged fog light by disconnecting the wires attached.

- You have to look at the back of the assembly and get all the screws off. Then you can just take off the fog light and have it checked or replace it with new ones that actually work.
