Default need a racing 3rd gear

Hey all

I have a 1998 HX Civic 1.6 sohc non vtec

I run it at the local 1/3 mile oval asphalt track ( friggn Blast)

my question is does anybody have a suggestion for a shorter 3rd gear...so i can get my RPM's up and keep them there!!

the car stays in 3rd gear the whole race....and we run 65 on the straights at about 6000 rpm.....if i could get it to run 6000 in the corners and 6800 to 7200 in the corners that would be awesome.....or perhaps any other ideas...maybe a specific cam......exhaust and intake are all reaDY OPEND UP

NOTE: the cars need to remain Visually stock

Thanx all

Norm
