Default how to change timing belt in a 2004 honda accord 2.4 DOHC?

Default has instructions on how to change a timing belt just put in your cars info and it should help you out

are you mechanically inclined?Did the timing belt break while the engine was running? If yes chances are DOHV may have been bent,either the intake or the exhaust valves. 1 set tdc #1 compression stroke 2set the cam shaft there should be a mark on the cylin. head align all timing marks change the tensioner or cage it check all the pulleys and reinstall the belt there is more to it than that but good luck

There is no timing belt on a 04 Accord unless its a has a timing chain 2 chains actually...and the 04 requires special tools to remove the tensioner. This is not a job for rookies come to think about it there are some Honda mechanics that have problems with replacing the chain on the accord engines...its a very tedious job and you must have very good organization skills because some of those bolts on go in one place and if you mix them up you will be left with a bolt that wont fit in the hole your trying to put it in because its either to long or to short and the you end up taking it back apart to find the right bolt that goes in there...good luck I hope I was helpful
