Default Need tips on how to drive Honda Insight?

In a hilly area. Never driven manual transmission. Already took it out of ECO mode,

It has an automatic transmission. but also has up and down " paddles " to make it more effiecient.

On hills you're going to slip the clutch a little bit more, while giving it a little bit more gas than normal.

It's best to understand HOW manual transmissions work before trying to drive one:

What are you wanting? More power because of the hills, or better gas mileage?

The paddles are meant to make it sportier (being able to somewhat control when the transmission shifts) but most of the time they will not help gas mileage. If you just leave it in automatic and let the car decide when to shift, you'll get the best mileage.
