Default i have a 1999 civic si and i was wondering would i be better off fully building a B16a2 or

getting a swap? i want something fast obviously, would i be better off getting a B18c5? any other suggestions?

i just DONT want anything that wont fit and will have to alter the hood or anything.

or would it be better going into K series such as k20? and i want to go NA

Go with a B18A1 and slap a B20 VTEC head on that sucker

I know you said you dont want to alter but if you want fast it's going to cost about 6 - 7K

You can go K20 block with a K24 head

you can get the b16 to have plenty of power. B18 would be easier to make fast, but will be more expensive in the long run.

Hi, It depends on if you want to run naturally aspirated (NA) or forced induction (FI). If you want to run NA then I would go with the B18C5 for the higher compression. If you want to run FI such as a turbo or supercharger then I would suggest the slightly lower compression B18A1, or your B16A2 would also make a decent starting platform. Budget build = B16A2, Money is no object = B18A1 or B18C5. Hope I helped.
