Default is the fuel pump for a 1990 honda accord on the gauge in the tank?

what happen is that whenever my fuel goes below quarter tank with gas and i would brakes for a bump or d car turns a hard curve it either shots down or staggers like its not getting any fuel. if my gas level is at half tank or more then everything is fine.... whats the problem???

Most likely in the tank. Why would it be on the gauge? Gauges are used for measurement.

It's in the tank but separate from the sender.

I have personally never known of a Honda fuel pump to fail but the fuel pump relay is possibly the most common Honda failure of all. The first source has details, including a simple test.

Its very hard to kick a fuel pump or the relay. i ran my civic for 50 more miles many time on empty and nothing happened. when it staggers or moves down, its normal. all hondas do that until the year 2006 hit when Honda started manufacturing better fuel pumps. when the gauge moves up or down when u accelerate or go around a curve, it just means the fuel is moving around the tank or when the gauge moves down a little, its just being pumped into the engine. theres no problem with ur car. i have a 00 sedan and 98 coupe civic and i hate when it does that. makes me feel like im losing fuel but im really
