Default labor time to replace engine in 91 civic?

i need to replace the motor in my 1991 honda civic. it is a 1.5L motor. i will be replacing it with a used motor of the same size. i'm trying to find out what labor times would be for the repair so i can shop around and compare pricing.

call around, tell em what you want done and they will give you an estimate. however id suggest doing it yourself, especially being a 1.5 honda you can most likely find a step by step how to and it would be really easy even without a write-up.

It could take a couple hours to a day depending on the person doing the swap.

D series engine swapping at hard at all. a caveman can do it! lol. if its a manuel then it would cut off time bc all u have to do is unbolt the shift linkage from the shifter. then drain all ur fluids(oil, power steering, & coolant). then take ur radiator & hoses off as well as ur condensor if u have A/C. then unplug the harness from them ecu, firewall fuse box, evap sensor, and power steering sensor, and plug in to ur cluster located right under the master cylinder. next will be the rear tranny mount following the lower tranny mounts located towards to front off the car located at the bottom. ok, u have done over 50% of the work. now get a cherry picker and hook it up to the tranny and a good spot on the engine. i used the side tranny mount and side engine mount while using a 1 1/2 ton jack to support & balance the engine properly when i was changing my engine on my 98 civic. then everything is the opposite of removal to get everything back in place.
