Default replace time belt 1989 civic . i heard that it is a 0 tolerence motor and also that is wasnt . how

do a tell?

I assume you mean interference engine...and yes it is.

All the Honda engines of that era are zero tolerance - if the timing belt fails you can count on severe engine damage.
