Default How do i know if my 99 Prelude is a SH or not?

I bought my 1999 Honda Prelude about 6 months ago and the person who had it before me removed all the emblems so I'm trying to figure out how can I tell if its a Prelude SH or just the Prelude base model...

One sure way to tell is to get under the car and check around the transmission. The SH model has an extra housing (about 1 foot across) attached to the transmission that houses the 'Super Handling' gears. Not sure if the dash has a separate light for the SH system.

8th # in vin is a 5 for SH, 4 for base. SH also has a ATTS light on the gauge cluster.

There are a few ways to tell, but the most accurate way is to see what the vin# starts with:

JHMBB614 = Base Manual

JHMBB615 = SH

JHMBB624 = Base Automatic

Other ways are:

SH does not have a third brake light on the rear deck because they come standard with spoilers which have them already.

Side skirts and rear valance should be painted to body color.

There should be an ATTS light on your dash when you turn on the car or put it in accessory I believe.

5 Bar SH Wheels; not blades.

And all SH models are 5 Speed.
