Default is my honda a sports car?

I drive a 2001 honda civic LX 4dr. its an automatic as well and my insurance claims its a sports car. is it really?

its one of those companys the run it through multiple companys to give me the lowest price. im only 18 so its high as is but still i didnt think it would be this high.

1. If you have to ask, it's not.

2. It's a Honda Civic, so.... no.

But how the insurance company decides to categorize vehicles, is their prerogative. They could categorize it as an SUV if they wanted.

Something wrong with your insurance company? that is definately not a sports car. Its not even an Si trim, and even si aren't considered full on sports car. A sports car would be like, a s2000

You need to sit with an insurance agent and explain to him that your Honda Civic is NOT a sports car, take picture of your vehicle and present to your agent to clear the unnecessary charge. If this doesn't work then either switch your insurance company or file a lawsuit which will take years to be resolved.

I think your insurance company has mistakenly considered you as a driver of Honda Civic Si, that could possibly explain why.

No, it's not a sports car. Find a different insurance company. Remember, though, if you have it financed, your insurance will be sky high regardless.

HAHHAHAH ooh man. They base the insurance on if abunch of little punks drive/crash/steal your car model then YES it will have high insurance. THE RSX-S I own has high insurance just for that reason
