Default Honda Accord Oxygen Sensors and Tune Up

I have a 2006 Honda Accord EX with 90,000 miles. (4 cylinder). An oxygen sensor went out in November, 2010 and the other one went out last week. Our mechanic said they went bad too soon and he suggested getting the car tuned up. Does this sound like a legitimate suggestion? (I just had the oil changed, tires rotated, and front and rear brakes done so I am running low on car maintenance funds )
