Default I have a 02 civic and my car is overheating ?

About two weeks ago my car started overheating when i was stoped a a red light or stop sign and it would start to blowing cold air when the heat was on . So i changed the thermastet now it blows hot air but the car still over heats when i am stoped or if i am driveing slow. What. Could it be. Can someone plz help me

there are a few possibilities.. first ..you could have put the thermostat in upside down ..































second ..your radiator is most likely clogged ... with the car off and engine cold drain the radiator ( a small valve on the bottom of rad..turn and drain ..then fill back with water and add a radiator flush product..see of this helps















. You can also try ( with engine cold ) taking off the radiator cap ..starting the engine..and after 5-10 minutes seeing if water rushes by the opening ..if not ..it is clogged .































Last but not least your water pump may be going out,,and or your water pump/fan belt is loose ...

you must check first which car coolent you are using?
