Default PRELUDE VETERANS HELP !!!?

Hi everyone my names MJ and i'm 17 years old, and i'm going to be getting a car pretty soon.

I will bluntly put it out there and say that I DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT CARS. I got REALLY into them about a week ago after driving my dads 5spd nissan (sentra?) for for the first time. I have driven automatics before, but after driving the manual i had this burning desire to just drive and furthermore get a car of my own !

So i'm interested in 3 types of cars, Preludes (3rd gen), 240sx, and maybe a civic. The top would be preludes and 240's. I want a car that is fuel efficient, has a good rep for lasting a while, and here being a big interest; somewhat fast :P (if it's possible with a max budget of $2500-3000, preferably not above 2500) . Have/do you own a prelude? If so what generation, and in your experience what are the pro's and cons of owning one? What is the difference between prelude s, si's, sh , etc etc? Any information at all would help a ton!!

Thanks in advance and sorry i'm such a noob with cars, but preludes really catch my eye!! 240's too but i don't know much about them so please help

PS, is this a good deal off of what is posted in the description?

It's a Honda so it should be of at least some quality and last you a while. Mileage is quite high so you'll probably be looking at repairs..

I would buy it, i own a 1991 honda prelude 2.1 si, they last forever, i paid 300 for mine it has 240000miles and it just keeps going, but if you are going to buy a third gen i would suggest one with 4 wheel steering or a 2.1 si(a little extra pickup), it gives you a lot more maneuverability. My car has everything stock, and it has great pickup, maneuverability and the gas mileage is pretty good too, like20-23. if you are getting one with a intake the gas mileage will be a little lower. I love preludes, i got this one on accident, someone walked into my dads work and offered it to him for $300 and i will never buy anything other than a prelude.
