That's really tough. In today's world, any car that still runs (however rusty) and is for sale for under $1000 won't last long. My only advice, get the newspaper and search them as soon as you can get your hands on the daily edition. The Saturday and Sunday editions will have the most auto's in their classifieds. Get up early in the morning on Sat and Sun and start calling EARLY! I can guarantee if you wait until noon to call, any running car for less that a grand will be gone. Especially a Honda.
