Default I have a 98 accord with about 28,000 miles on it. The transmission is slipping any ideas on what it

could be?

Sounds like your clutch could be going..might sound stupid but put your car in 3rd gear pull up the handbrake give it a bit of gas..if it stalls straight away then your clutch is fine, if you dont feel any bite and it takes ages for it to stall then the clutch is gone.
