Default Can a 1.6 manual transmission go on a 1.7 honda civic motor?

Can a 1.6 manual transmission go on a 1.7 honda civic motor?

Depends on if your 1.6 tranny goes on the same series as the 1.7 motor. Only a d-series tranny will work on a d-series motor. Check to make sure both your engine and tranny are either d-series or b-series.
