Default Honda Automatic Transmission?

I have a 98 Honda Civic EX.

When I get to about 100KM/H and let off the gas, then re apply the gas, the rpms go then drop like the transmission has shifted a gear again, is this normal? when I let off the gas does it go to a lower gear or something?

The car will feel like a quick shift, with a stern little jerk to it, not very noticeable, but just wondering, like I'll be cruising at 100KM/H and then let off the gas for like 2 - 3 seconds, then press the gas again let the RPM rise a little tiny bit and then it jerks and goes to loewr rpms like it switched gears?

is this normal?

That's the torque converter lock-up engaging and disengaging. It is sort of like a clutch in a manual transmission. It locks up when you are cruising at a steady speed giving you better gas economy. It disengages whenever you either let up or press down on the accelerator. It is controlled by the computer.
