Default what honda engen will fit in an 01 LX civic?

i want to engen swap for my stocko one.. i woulk like a DOHC or a SOHC v-tec let me know

A b16a is perfect for that car. Its DOHC v-tec, its affordable and it has plenty of power behind it. Plus you won't have to change out your motor mounts. You might have to change out you ECU though
