Default 93 Accord SE temp control cable replacement

I have to replace or reattach heater temperature control cable of my 93 Accord SE.

The temperature control cable was stuck and it has been freed up underneath the glove box. Before solving that the cable seemed to have come loose from the connection behind the temp control knob.

How do I get at that location to reattach, or replace what needs to be done. I've taken the center console out, have the glove box off, but am lost how to proceed. Any advice or direction you can point me in will be very much appreciated. Pictures or diagrams are especially useful.

Thanks,

Tom
