Both will have good of both. I would say the Honda Civic SI, it is built more for sport. It also has front-wheel drive ( I am not sure about the Accord) which adds alot to handling (though it also creates torque steer, but its manageable). All in all, both are good cars (it also depends on the year).

If you're talking about the newest models...

The V6 Accord Coupe w/ 6-speed manual transmission is the way to go if you wan't performance.

It packs a nice 271hp V6 and is amazingly quick for a Honda at about 5.5 seconds +/- 0.3 depending on driver.

The Automatic V6 comes in at about 7.0 seconds, quite a loss in time and at this point falls behind the Civic Si.

The Civic Si comes in about 6.8 seconds +/- 0.4 depending on driver. Comes equipped with a nice 6-speed transmission as well.

If you want pure performance right off the bat choose the 6-speed V6 Accord. If you want something you can build then choose the Civic Si. Because of the Civic's wide popularity among Honda owners it carriers a ton of aftermarket support by countless companies. The downfall of the newer Accord is that it has just a minimal amount of aftermarket support right now.
