it should be on the back side of the engine (facing the windshield) and screwed into the engine block above the oil pan. there is a vacuum line that runs off of the intake manifold to the valve.
i don't think i ever heard of one going bad on a honda. I guess it could happen but from my experience at Honda dealers its never changed nor recommend during any regular maintenance service. its kind of in that catagory of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'. the signs of a bad PCV would be excessive oil consumption and high HC emissions. You could also get oil leaks as a result of a clogged PCV. If you don't have any of the above, I'd recommend you go with what you have. hope that helps |
