Default 2002 Civic Steering Question

I need to replace the linkage that goes from the rack to the tie rod end . Not sure what its called . Looks like there is 2 bolts that hold a bracket to the rack . The linkage just spins . The new one is threaded , is there a secret someone might know . Or am I going to have to pull the rack to get this thing changed. Thanks Mike
