Default If i have a car modified to race, is it illegal to keep battery in the backseat floor?

its on the floor behind the passanger side in a thick plastic container, it has holes to allow it to ventilate, and it was there when i bought the car, its a 94 honda accord

if its illegal, will it cost alot to put it back in its original place?

Normally it isnt much of a concern, most states allow wire tucks and other modifications, but i would check your state's laws just to make sure
