Default Is my 2009 honda civic considered totalled?

I just crashed my passanger side by the wheels is gone. The bumper fell off. The axel looks broken like it fell off.. The car wouldnt shift gears when i tried to move it but it just made a noise and stayed there. The roof also seems to be buckled from the impact so its all out of line on the roof, and the passanger doors. What do you think?

no the bags didnt go off, and everyone was wondering y not, guess it hit then spun 3 times. Idk how the roof buckled though

Yes sounds done to me. If the cost of repair is more then the car is worth or is close to the cost of the car then it is a write off. Broken axle ya i think shes done.

Also did an airbag go off? if so almost all the time an airbag is deployed it is a write off

Likely it is, but I had an insurance company spend $9,000 to fix a truck that booked at $6500, so who knows.

It's hard to know by any description you can provide here, but it sounds like it can be repaired for less than the car is worth. Not going would be expected if a front axle is disengaged (I think it pulled out of the transaxle when the wheel was hit).

My wife had a 6 year old Turbo Volvo she had bought two weeks before and was rear-ended by a drunk when she stopped at a stop sign. The unibody was bent into a W shape and I thought for sure it would be totaled but the repair was barely $1000.
