Default 2001 honda civic transmission failure should i fix it?

My 2001 honda civics automatic transmission just went at 150,000 miles, two months ago i got the timing belt, water pump, and some other small things done. The transmission is going to cost $1700-$2000 i am not sure if i should get it done or look for a newer car. Also the engine runs fine. What should i do please help?

I'd fix the car. Especially if they get a used transmission from an 04-05 civic. They are much less failure prone. If you fix it you have many more miles. 2000 is a good price as long as it's fixed right.

Fixing what you know is a good car otherwise, is the best move.

If you buy a different used car, you won't know if there is something wrong with it, and a new car will cost 6 times more than fixing it.
