RTFM
P.S(Read The Fuc***ng Manual) Sorry about this ![]() Duh,if everyone read a fat book,20% more cars would last years longer(research)It's all in there,a little book telling you what's best to do with your car.Can anyone know better than those who made it?Few people!Besides, noone asked you to learn the manual by heart.Noone can tell you what gear to drive in in any circumstances. It is continuously variable.Your manual explains this process,so as to understand on your own which is best.Sorry for insisting, too much |

People like you are the reason automatic transmissioned cars should only have the D. This falls under "YOU HAVE TO BE FRIGGEN KIDDING ME!" How did you even get a license? I bet you can program your IPOD just fine but dont bother to learn anything about a 4,000 LB killing machine you are operating.

D4 is what you use. (It'll either be labeled as D4 or just D)
D4 is all gears 1-3 plus 4th gear (overdrive) D3 is all gears 1-3 but not 4th gear. 2 is only gears 1-2 1 is only 1st gear. Only use 1 or 2 if you plan on low speeds and are off-road. D3 is for "around town" driving where you won't see highway speeds (50+ mph) and D4 is for anything. "Duh, if everyone would just read a fat book, then everyone would know there answers and there would be no yahoo answers. Please quit wasting people's time with dumb replies." You shouldn't be so quick to snub off the other answer. He has a point, the majority (and I mean almost all) drivers who own cars do not read their vehicles manual these days and miss out on a ton of information not only about the cars features but critical maintenance schedules and car care as well. Honda's require a lot of care to hit those 200k+ miles, especially the 4WD and automatics. |
