Default How do you reporgram a 2007 HONDA ELEMENT Key blank transponder chip?

Hello and thank you for checking out this post. So I have misplaced a key for my 2007 Honda Element. I have already gotten the blank key and gotten it cut. All I need to do is reprogram it. How do I do this without going to the dealer? They will make me spend more money than I ought to. Thanks for the help.

Can't help you myself, but check the forum at This is a very active and helpful (free) site for Element owners.

Your only choice outside a dealer is an automotive locksmith, and most of those won't touch a customer provided key due to liability. You cannot do it yourself.
