Default 2000 Honda Passport transmision problems?

We have a 2000 honda passport ex 4x4 v6 auto. We bought it in 2006 at a used dealer. 4 days after we bought it the transmition went out. The dealer said they would pay to get it fixed as it was obviously like that at their lot. So they dropped a new transmition in. Then about 200 miles before the warranty on it was up the tranny started messing up again. We got it in and had it rebuilt. Now it is doing weird stuff again... It reads on the dash that it is in park no matter what gear you are in. If you drive like that it shifts funny and winds up when you take off. But if you shut it off and turn it on sometimes it works right and drives fine but other times it wont. I do not know a lot about these vehicles because I am a american rig kind of guy. Any suggestions?

Well the lemon law applies to new vehicles. If you have a new car for less than a year and things are going wrong then its in effect. But thanks for the answer!

Have you ever heard of the lemon law? I'm not sure if it applies to your vehicle being that it was purchased used, but still, you got it from a car dealer. The lemon law requires the dealer to give you a new vehicle at no charge or a refund. The car you have now sounds like a lemon. I'm not sure how long this law is in effect once you purchase this vehicle, but if you have it for less than a year, take action immediately and don't waste more time.
