Default Where do you get the codes to make a replacement key to 2009 Honda Accord?

The new theft / chip car keys need a key code, where do I get them? Is it the VIN number or was I given this code when I bought the car?

You must take the keys along with your car to the Honda Dealership. They program them uniquely to function with your car only.

Amazingkeys.com has the keys for the 2009 Accord for $49.99. According to their website you must have the dealer or a locksmith program and cut the key. Here is the link showing the picture and description:

You don't have and can't get the codes used to program the keys, it doesn't work like that anyway. A key code only tells the technician how to cut the mechanical key. Programming is done with a diagnostic tool not available to consumers. Call an automotive locksmith to come out or tow it to the dealer.
