Congrats on your car. I have a 2006 Civic, but mechanically, they are identical. It is a nice, reliable compact car and a great first car. It gets awesome gas mileage (unless you're a lead foot all the time). Overall, it's a great little car.

If you're already definitely getting it, then I hope you like it, as well. But if you can wait a bit, the all new 2012 Civic with a new body and features is scheduled to be revealed next month and should be in dealerships early 2011. Good luck!

It's a car. It goes from A to B without much gas or much inspiration from the driver. It'll either be made in Indiana or Ontario but won't come with a free bottle of moonshine or labatt blue.

My wife has a 2008 Civic HYBRID. And I will admit if you were looking at the HYBRID version, it is a very cool car with weird features like the auto engine stop when you come to a complete stop but otherwise the car regular or hybrid gets great gas mileage, it will definitely not pain you at the gas tank, really reliable and easy to maintain, and i like to spaceship look.

it's a great first car. No cons the new models of civics are mechanically fantastic not like the 2003-2005 i beleive or something like that not too too sure. My dad just bought one he works at honda but he did his own research (he didn't want the salespeople to rip him off cuz they rip anyone off) and he said by far one of the best civics that have been made in recent memory once he bought it. My dad never buys new cars but with what he found ( sorry i don't know exactly what he reserached) he decided he would by it brand new. So if my dad is willing to buy it brand new, it has to be good
