They have some problems with early oil consumption.

The typical problems are the apex seals (similar in function to piston rings). They not only travel at a higher average linear speed (piston rings slow down, stop, and reverse), but they also do it over an uneven surface. These are nowhere near as consistently reliable as a conventional engine, which leads to high oil consumption and generally poor emissions.

Really neat, smooth, and powerful engines though.

Reliable and rotary engine should not be used in the same sentence,

if you don't know how to fix them then stay away or if ur willing to learn then go for it cuz if u take it to a shop or dealer after warranty ur nuts are gonna be cut off
