Default 2008 civic si a/c HELP...

Hi, tha a/c of my car started today to stop cooling and then it starts again. I noticed that the compressor was not activating then i run the car giv a few revs up and then its started cooling very good again. On the way did the same thing a few times, by the time i get home it was cooling, i think the battery is passing by cause its started today very weak, i dont know if this something that cause this behavior of the a/c but tha car has only 38k miles. One thing, we were not using the car cause a licence issue so it was parked like for a month and 2 weeks. Any help or idea on this? thanks.
