Default Immobiliser Problem ??

Im new here, so Hi to everyone, and hope one of you can help ...

I own a 99 Rover 620 (2lt petrol), which as you will all know is basically a Honda Accord.

During our recent Arctic conditions, I went to remove something from the boot of the car. I opened the boot with the key, but had to force it slightly(boot lid, not the lock) as it was frozen shut. This set the alarm off. I simply silenced the alarm with the key fob, closed the boot and re-locked the car with the fob.

Later, when I tried to start the car, it refused ... engine is cranking ok, but wont start. When I turn ignition off, the "key" light on the dash flashes 5 times.

My question is ... Is this an immobiliser problem, and if so, can it be re-set ??

Many thanks for your help and a Merry Christmas to all ...
