Default I blew my interior light fuse from my 02 civic, how can I change it?

Hi, I own a 2002 honda civic LX coupe, recently I installed two led map light and it worked fine. But today I was trying to install the dome light with the led I bought and now none of my interior lights work. Even my trunk light is dead. The Bulb/led are perfectly fine, I believe I blew the interior fuse. My question are how can I locate this fuse box? Which socket/fuse is the one for the interior light? Last how do I do it again without blowing the fuse?

the interior light fuse is located inside the underhood fuse and relay box. The fusebox has a black cover on it and it is usually located on the left rear of the engine compartment but on some models it is in the right front.

take the lid off the fuse box and there should be a diagram on the underside that shows the location of the fuses and relays. the fuse you want is the #3 fuse; it will be located in the center of the fuse box at the top right corner of the grid of 9 fuses that you will see in the center. The fuse is a 7.5 amp fuse so it will be marked "7.5". The fuse just pulls straight out and the new fuse plugs in.

be sure to replace it with a 7.5 amp fuse--nothing higher or lower.

why the fuse blew out is another question. if the new fuse pops immediatly you have an excessive current draw in the circuit such as a short to ground and you would have to track that down. if the fuse blows intermittantly you'll need to tie an action to the result--for example, if the fuse is good after opening the driver's door but blows when you open the passenger door then the problem is isolated to that part of the circuit. If its okay when you open both doors but blows when you turn on the ceiling light manually then the problem is with that part of the circuit. I'm sure you get the idea.

hope that helps
