Nope, cus they are slow, even after moderate mods..

Yea yea, $15k+ can build a fast civic.. but its still a civic

Its a family 4 door sedan, not a sports car.

If a car enthusiast wanted a car from 1990 they would be looking for something like a Corvette ZR1

If u were a "car enthusiast" then u wouldnt be thinking of a honda civic. You would be thinking of an iconic car or something that will just make people turn heads. Ex) Honda Prelude, Honda s2000 or perhaps Toyota Supra and im assuming u want a used japanese car because u were looking at a Honda in the first place.

oh come on, why do people think it takes a million dollars to make a honda fast? you can get a vtec sohc motor for 400bucks, a turbo kit for 2 grand and smoke most american muscle. so lets spell it out again, 1,000 car, 400 motor, 2,000 turbo kit, $3,400 running high 12's (reliably to boot)

now a sedan, no.. get a 2 door, go for the 90-95's they are under 2,000 lbs with the base models, power to weight isnt something some-one made up, it makes complete sense.

if you like working on cars an older honda is the best place to start, they are very simple to work on and lots of fun and they can go fast, they arent just for grandmas, grocerys, and good gas mileage.. jeezus
