Default The 2009 Honda Fit: Premium Quality, Superior Economy

- Aug 19 —

When the Fit was first introduced to the US market, it showed that small can be big - big on interior roominess, big on style and convenience, and big on all-around driving fun.

The all-new 2009 Fit is here to show that small can get even better. The new Fit features a super-forward aero-form design with a larger windshield and large front quarter windows that make the spacious interior seem even more expansive. A new, more powerful 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine further enhances the Fit's fun-to-drive performance. The introduction of Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure contributes to enhanced safety and is combined with enhancements to body rigidity for better handling and a quiet, comfortable ride.

Even the rear Magic Seat® - the secret behind the Fit's class-leading cargo capacity - has been enhanced. It now features a one-motion dive-down mechanism that allows the rear seats to be folded down flat with the flip of a single lever - even with the front seats in their rearmost slide position.

In this era of rising gasoline prices and growing environmental concerns, people are choosing smaller cars for their economical operation and cleaner emissions. City/highway EPA fuel economy ratings of 28/35 miles per gallon* for the Fit AT (except Sport) and CARB ULEV-2 and EPA Tier 2, Bin 5 emissions ratings make the Fit a great choice.

But the new Fit is about more than just economy: it's also about value. With its emphasis on design, stylishly functional interior and premium standard features including a deluxe sound system, a tilt and telescopic steering column, six airbags, ABS brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and premium finishing details inside and out, the new Fit is intended to deliver a level of functionality and refinement that is a class above. The new Fit Sport even offers an available factory-installed Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ with voice recognition and Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®).

A smaller car doesn't have to be a compromise. With the all-new 2009 Fit, Honda is offering customers premium features and advanced technology in a very attractive small package. Customers who choose the new Fit are choosing superior economy and premium quality.
