Default Honda Continues to Provide Fuel Alternatives with Natural Gas Powered Civic GX

Fuel costs can lower dramatically with Phill Home Refueling appliance

Torrance, Calif. - Aug 25 —

As the only passenger car in the country to be powered by natural gas, the
2007 Honda Civic GX, produces near zero emissions and continues to be the "earth's
cleanest certified internal combustion engine". The Civic GX, introduced
mid-year 2006 (as a 2006 model), will continue unchanged for the 2007 model
year and will be available to consumer through qualifying Honda dealers in California
and New York state and to fleet customers nationwide.

Currently natural gas is approximately thirty percent less expensive than
gasoline when purchased at a refueling station, and can be more than 50 percent
cheaper than gasoline when supplied by a Phill home refueling appliance. Natural
gas fuel is an ideal, primarily domestic, lower-cost alternative to gasoline
with a price that has proven to track below that of petroleum fuels.

2007 Civic GX owners may be eligible for a Federal tax credit of $4,000 for
the car and up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of 'Phill,'
the convenient natural gas home refueling appliance. Both the Civic GX and Phill
benefit from the federal tax credits enacted beginning in 2006, for clean alternative
fuel vehicles and fueling infrastructure.

The 2007 Civic GX achieves an EPA-estimated city/highway fuel economy of 28/39
miles per gasoline-gallon equivalent and is the only vehicle certified by the
EPA to meet both Federal Tier 2-Bin 2 and Inherently Low Emission Vehicle (ILEV)
zero evaporative emission certification standards.

Equipped standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission, the 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder
engine delivers 113 horsepower and 109 ft-lbs of torque, both an increase of
more than ten percent versus the 2005 model.

Standard safety features include dual front airbags, side curtain airbags,
front side airbags with Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), ABS, pedestrian
safety features and Honda's Advanced Compatibility EngineeringTM (ACE™)
Body Structure. In 2006, the Civic lineup earned the Insurance Institute for
Highway Safety's "Top Safety Pick - Gold" award.

Phill - the home refueling appliance manufactured by FuelMaker Corporation,
provides Civic GX owners a convenient and affordable method of refueling at
home. Phill can be mounted to a garage wall, either indoors or outdoors, and
allows the GX to refuel overnight directly from a homeowner's existing
natural gas supply line.

Natural gas-powered vehicles are part of Honda's energy strategy to offer the
best available technology for the reduction of air pollution and petroleum dependence
and serves as an enabling technology for hydrogen fuel cell cars in the future.
The 2007 Civic GX will be assembled in East Liberty, Ohio.
