Default 2009 Accord = Brake worries?

I have heard that 2008 Accords are showing rear brake wear in excess
of what is normal for most sedans.

I wondered if my 2009 Accord will have the same problem? The long term
reliability of Hondas is one of the main reasons I went with the
Accord over my other possibilities at the time (The others in the "top
three" for me were the Mazda6 and the Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan.)

I heard from someone that when you brake coming up to a light that the
rear brakes do more work because a computer sense that is more stable.
That said, I don't hear of other current cars with the problem of wear
this fast as a common complaint.

Hello:
i have an 2008' Accord and i had to replace the rear pads at 20k and i
was told, like isaid in an earlier thread, the service tech at a
dealership told me that Honda has made it so that when you apply your
brake the rear apply first before the front engauges so that now the
rear pads will wear out before the front.

Back on September 10th you posted this exact question to alt.autos.honda
and got a bunch of replies. Are you hoping the answer will be different
if you post in this group instead?

Here's a link to David's original posting:
<http://groups.google.com/group/alt.autos.honda/browse_thread/thread/af792c0b4d9a9810/9339e89397520ad1?q=group:alt.autos.honda+authora vid+author:E.+author:Powell#9339e89397520ad1>
This should be all on one line.

It's very interesting that "Earl the #1" was the first respondent
to both threads, replying the same way almost word for word; in
15 minutes the first time and in two hours the second, and posting
nothing at all otherwise except in reply to David's two posts.

David wouldn't be...a troll...would he?

just like last time earl, that's bullshit and you need a different
service tech that knows what they're doing. if the rears are wearing
faster, either there's something wrong, like air in the hydraulics, or
they're simply softer pads.
